News has it that Apple is set on establishing Apple stores in India, a country that has so far enjoyed the Apple products from other sources.

Looking to bring something akin to full-scale Apple stores to the Indian market, Apple is bypassing a national legal provision concerning local sourcing norms by partnering up with Croma. Various locations of the giant electronics retailer will soon be harboring the Apple locations. Croma is operated by Infiniti Retail. And if we want to go further down the line, Infiniti Retail is owned by Mumbai-based giant Tata Group.

After the short digression, here is a list of Croma locations that are said to host the much-anticipated Apple Stores. The approximately 500-square-foot Apple locations will be featuring in the Croma stores in Mumbai, Jayanagar, Bengaluru, Malad, Ghatkopar, Juhu and a few others. For now, not many details are released.

However, it is expected that the Apple stores will open their doors with the occasion of the Diwali/Deepavali festival taking place next month. And, to everyone’s content, all stores are expected to be fully equipped with all of Apple’s products put up for sale.

With this occasion, the CEO of Infiniti Retail, Avijit Mitra stated:

“We are proud to partner with Apple to launch the Apple Store in India, and extremely bullish about it”.

For the first time India will have full-scale Apple stores. All of them are bound to follow the design silverlining witnessed at a global level. Moreover, for a full Apple experience, all sales staff is expected to be trained in India.

Partnering with Croma to bypass the mandatory regulation that has kept the Indian market waiting for so long was a smart move on the tech giant’s part. Bureaucratic conundrums keeping Apple from providing Indian consumers a full experience are now in the past.

Recognizing that India represents a key market for Apple is the forefront of the endeavor to increase retail presence here. In just one year, 1.7 million iPhones were sold across India.
