Evernote Integration of New Google Drive Button

"Evernote integration"

Google partners up with Evernote.

Evernote has announced they will make a significant new integration into their application. It will integrate a new Google Drive button.

Google has also announced that content in Google Drive will now be available for access with Evernote.

Ahead in the world of mobile note-taking applications is Evernote’s biggest competitor OneNote, of Microsoft. This new integration is the company’s effort to stay in the note-taking market top.

Lately, the company has suffered cutbacks and leadership changes and hopefully this partnership might bring them more stability.

Ironically, Evernote competes with Google Keep, Google’s mobile app for taking notes, but this partnership is viewed as a “natural next step” by Google’s management staff.

Alex Vogenthaler, the product manager of Google Drive, writes on the company’s blog that they want people to have access to their personal content stored in Drive “whenever and wherever they’re trying to get stuff done.”

This partnership announcement comes after a couple of weeks after Google Keep’s updates. Google Drive plans on being integrated with other third-party applications like WhatsApp and Yahoo Mail.

The Evernote-Google Drive collaboration doesn’t stop at the button integration that adds files from Drive; the feature allows multiple users to collaborate, changes are synchronized automatically, and modular notes continue up to date and on multiple versions.

The integration also works with different file types like documents, pictures, sound and video.

A cool new feature added is the preview of the linked content that will add better perspective to the viewing experience.

With more than half of Evernote’s users having Google accounts and millions of them pasting Google Drive links every day, this Evernote integration, and Google collaboration was indeed a “natural next step”. Now their users even have more storage space.

With Google’s 15GB of free storage and 1TB for less than 10$ a month, Evernote will become a threat to storage service providers like Dropbox and OneDrive, which don’t have an Evernote integration.

This new service is currently in beta mode available on Chrome and Google Play store; additional platforms are being in development.

The Evernote integration is the first of many Google partnerships Evernote plans to have with the tech giant. Evernote has over 150 registered users.

The New Dropbox Pro Plan Cuts Prices, Ups Storage and Security Options

August 27, 2014 By Micheal Baptiste Leave a Comment

Earlier today, in an attempt to keep one step ahead of its competitors, Dropbox announced a new Dropbox Pro plan which will allow users to save money, benefit from higher storage room and use multiple security features. If you were a regular Dropbox user in the last years, you know that you had three different Pro plans to suit your needs: the 100GB plan, worth $9.99, the 200GB plan, worth $19.99 and the 500GB of storage plan, priced at $49.99 per month.

The new Dropbox Pro plan comes with big surprises, as it cuts down the price to $9.99 per month in a three – in – one offer which includes 1TB of storage and various added controls for shared documents security.

dropbox pro plan new While Dropbox users, small businesses and freelancers are happy to hear the news, tech analysts see this new Dropbox Pro plan as an attempt from the start – up to create a fighting chance with its tech giant competitors.

At some point, people were using Dropbox and Google Drive, but now the stakes are getting higher and higher with Apple, Microsoft and even Amazon eyeballing the online storing market and wanting a piece of the cake.

According to Dropbox officials quoted by USA Today

We pioneered the space and now our competitors have realized it’s important and have started to focus on it. technology giants are trying to lock users into their devices and apps whereas Dropbox can flawlessly sync files across phones, tablets and computers, allowing customers to use whatever device they want.

Without a doubt, Dropbox is making bald moves against the other major players in the tech world and motivates the birth of the new Dropbox Pro plan with the Dropbox users’ requests.

Besides the overall market position and shares strategies Dropbox just employed, it is no less true that the latest Pro plan comes with great opportunities for the regular users. Besides the impressive storage room opportunity and the staggering price,

Dropbox is rolling out a number of new security features for customers. Users will now be able to add password-access to shared links as well as expiration dates — Dropbox says this feature is valuable for users such as professional photographers who want clients to pay for images after a certain date. Users will also be able to create ‘Edit’ or ‘View Only’ permissions for those accessing shared files.

Last but not least, Dropbox is not only fighting for market supremacy. The company also praises customers’ loyalty and their availability to be flexible and responsive to beneficial changes. With 300 million users and counting, the new Dropbox Pro plan might be exactly the incentive the company needed to gather even more fans.

Dropbox is one of the most popular online cloud applications that allows you to store files on the internet. Dropbox is also super useful in sharing files from one computer to another or from a computer to a smart mobile device (iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Android, etc). Although there are many other cloud storage sites out there, Dropbox is preferred by many because of its simplicity and functionality.

If you’re one of those users, we have good news. The Dropbox Carousel app was just announced and it promises to simplify the way you look at your photos and videos with your Dropbox. The new app is available on both IOS and Android services so you can download it on most mobile smart devices. The Dropbox Carousel app will organize your videos and photos, separating them by time, date and event so you can find them easier. The coolest thing about this new app is that it also acts as a social network allowing you to share photos and videos with friends and family.

Dropbox Carousel app allows you to have conversations with the ones you’re sharing the photos and although it’s not something unseen before, it makes for a pleasant experience.

You can also view your files from both Dropbox and your local device storage without taking up additional space from your tablet or smartphone because all your memories are stored in the cloud and will remain there for as long as you keep them.
