Lamborghini Batmobile, the Highlight of Gumball 3000
A Swedish team, Team Galag from the Caresto Company, had this Lamborghini Batmobile custom made especially for the Gumball 3000 edition of this year. If you thought having a Lamborghini was hot, imagine having a custom made Batmobile based on this select car and driving it for the Gumball 3000 rally.
The Gumball 3000 started with the notoriety dream of a rich British entrepreneur called Maximillion Cooper.
Beginning in 1999, the rally quickly pulled in the attention of the media. Cooper had many high profile celebrities to his many high profile parties across Europe. Famous people like Kate Moss, Kylie Minogue and Johnny Knoxville attended. Famous magazines like GQ, Esquire and Vanity Fair covered the event. And the most famous brands got in on the action – Nike, Intel, Sony Playstation, Hasbro, MTV, Google, and Fiat.
Cars, entertainment, spectacular shows, sports, notoriety and the dream became reality. A few years into this internationally known show and we are at the 2016 current Gumball edition where the highlight of the rally is this one of a kind Lamborghini Batmobile. It’s being flashed right now from Dublin to Bucharest.
The custom made Lamborghini Batmobile was actually inspired by the Arkham Knight video game. Modifications were added so it can be drivable, but the overall slick upgrade from Bruce’s mythical car is wicked.
This hulkish monster’s exterior is carbon fiber made, it is on top of a Lamborghini Gallardo V10 chassis, it has cameras to cover the blind spots, but mainly they’re there to make the actual road visible because you cannot see a thing from the inside without them.
The engineer that built the Lamborghini Batmobile had previously worked for the Swedish high-performance sports cars maker Koenigsegg, and we can see why they had him for 15 years. The details on this giant are breathtaking.
People have gathered in crowds to witness the motion of the giants but to see the Lamborghini Batmobile is another thing altogether. The monster like roar of this metal creature and its infamous design are probably inspiring the future artists and future engineers of the next monster super cars.
Is this custom made Lamborghini Batmobile, the highlight of Gumball 3000 or is it not? What do you think?
