Samsung Galaxy Mega is the largest smartphone to be delivered by the Korean Tech so far. Galaxy Mega will be released in two large variants, 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch. Previously, it was rumored that the smaller Mega will be launched on May 30th and the larger variant on June 17th. But reportedly, Samsung has postponed the launch date to June 3 for 5.8-inch Galaxy Mega and for the larger one, it’s still unspecified.
Samsung Galaxy S4 performed well at the smartphone market and hence, SamMobile has decided to launch multiple Galaxy S4 variants in Q3 2013. Users are anticipating the launch of S4 Mini, S4 Active and reportedly, also a camera specified S4 variant, the S4 Zoom. But before the launch of these, the two Gargantuan Samsung smartphones are awaiting release.
Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8-inch is reported to launch on June 3 and its price tag is estimated to be $445. However, its global availability is still questionable. The other Galaxy Mega 6.3-inch phablet is expected to hit the market in July. The larger variant will be priced at $563.
Both the variants will operate on Android Jelly Bean v.4.2.2. Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch smartphones will pack 8MP camera and bear Dual Core Krait 1.4 GHz and 1.7 GHz processors respectively. Galaxy Mega 5.8-inch features 540*960 pixels display and the larger one bears a 720*1080 pixels display. Both phablets feature 1.5GB RAM, 8BG internal storage capacity with expandable external storage facility of up to 64GB.
Samsung Galaxy Mega has been available for pre-order for quite some time. Recently, the 6.3-inch Mega beast was spotted for pre-order at Clove UK’s site with a price tag of £460.00. Clove UK’s website mentioned that the first stock is supposed to arrive in July. Galaxy Mega will be available in two colors, black and white. The main of around Galaxy Mega is its large display and lower price, which is expected to be lower than Galaxy Note 3 that packs a smaller screen.
