Apple’s latest earnings record provides us with a glimpse of what will make up the company’s future devices lineup. Also, as has been announced by Tim Cook earlier in the year, the Cupertino based company will be revealing their new products in September, which will include the most talked about budget iPhone version made of plastic which could be possibly called iPhone Mini. Among the other devices Apple is expected to unveil this coming September include the iPad 5 and the Retina MacBook Pro as well along with of course a new refreshed iPhone 5S.
Apple has a history of announcing the release date of iPad on the same day of iPhone so it is expected that iPad 5 release date will also be announced on the iPhone 5S release date.
Apple is forced to change its premium only strategy and has decided to come up with a low cost version of its iPhone aimed at the emerging markets. This is expected to put the company is better stead against the likes of Samsung that has been following the trend of having multiple smartphone offering in perhaps every price range. This has ensured it to emerge as the biggest phone maker on earth, something that could come under strain once a lower priced iPhone is launched.
According to what rumors have to say, the iPhone Mini or iPhone Lite (as the budget iPhone version is being termed as of now) are expected to be formally announced at an Apple event to be held in September. The event is also believed to unveil the latest iPhone 5S as well, which is an updated version of the previous year’s iPhone 5. More updates about this flagship Apple device is under the covers, but it is expected to be coming with a new back facing camera, an improved processor along with perhaps a more pixel dense touchscreen. The most talked about fingerprint scanner can also be a part of this device.
Meanwhile, according to a report from All Things D, Apple’s latest earnings record which covers the fourth quarter is expecting a revenue hike ranging from $34 billion to $37 billion, which invariably forms a margin of 36 to 37%. Analysts believe reaching that mark is only possible if Apple releases its latest devices which would give them a revenue hike. An updated version of iPhone, a budget friendly iPhone as well as a new iPad 5 could well be the devices that are expected to provide the revenue booth for Apple as these will appeal to both the low end as well as the high end market. However, as things seems to be shaping up right now, there is no new iPad Mini 2 in the anvil this year.
