July 13, 2013 By David Crozier Leave a Comment

Photographs of Google Chairman Eric Schmidt talking on a Moto X phone has made its way to the web and is the clearest image to have been received to date of the device. There have been numerous images of the Moto X but none as clear as this one. This photograph has been preceded by a video which has been posted by Robert Scoble. The video depicts an artist performing a song who is being photographed by a spectator using the Moto X in a black version.

The latest photograph has been posted by Gary who is the director of operations at Insider Images. The twitter post from Gary has the #sunvalley13 hash tag, which belongs to the Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference. In case if you are not too aware of it, the Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference is a premier tech event where personalities of the likes of Tim Cook and Mark Zuckerberg are counted among the attendees.

There have been numerous leaked images of the Moto X and the latest photograph confirms these speculations till now. There is nothing official yet about the device. The only difference that can be noticed is the placement of the speaker, which in this latest photograph shows it to the right of the camera, while the leaked photographs till now showed it to the left of the camera.

Motorola had mentioned that the launch would be in the summer, and there is Verizon who have indicated August 23 to be the date the Moto X would be available with them. If that be so, Motorola would have to announce the device very soon.

There are other photographs from Corriere depicting the event where the Moto X handset can be seen from different angles.

Motorola X Phone – Rogers Canada May Have Exclusive On the Moto X

July 6, 2013 By David Crozier Leave a Comment

An internal screen shot from the Canadian service provider, Rogers shows that they will have exclusivity over the upcoming Motorola X Phone. The screenshot also reveals that the device will launch in that country in the middle of August. However, one is also not yet sure whether the Canadian service provider will have exclusive right over the Moto X device, something that does seem quite unlikely.

Or it might even have some form of Roger’s device, something of the sort of a special color or such that will identify the device exclusively with the service provider. Apart from a special shade of the back plate, there might even be some feature addition to the device that might only be for the provider. While it is quite difficult to imagine Motorola giving away the exclusivity of their much hyped smartphone to a lone Canadian carrier, they might as well be very comfortable with it.

Rogers

Coming to the smartphone’s intended pricing, rumors claim it could be around the $299 mark. But what is interesting about this device is the marketing strategy being adopted and is pushed towards Premium Mindset Youth. Although the specifications aren’t something to drool upon, but the device is still a lot more than a child’s game. Interesting news about the device is its date of launch. Usually U.S. markets gets the device before Canada, so if the mid of August theory holds value, then one can expect to see the Moto X Phone making its US debut quite soon. The 11th of July release date will surely be watch keenly as we might have the answers to all our queries on that day. No matter what the case, Canadians can keep an eye for the Nexus 4 too which is heading their way soon.

Motorola X Phone To Release in Q3 – Check out the rumored Specs

June 20, 2013 By Micheal Baptiste Leave a Comment

Motorola X is estimated to be released in Q3 this year. Fans are anticipating a unique range of features in Moto X that would let it win against Galaxy S4, iPhone 5S and HTC One.

Biostamp Electronic Sticker is reported to be an innovative spec of the Motorola X Phone. Regarded as a security implantation for Moto X, it is composed of silicon and possesses sensors, antennae, electrical circuits, all of which bend in motion with the wearer’s physique. The functionality of this electrical circuit is quite similar to that of NFC chips, which may also be utilized for organizing electronic passwords.

One of the primary specs of Moto X Phone is its improved sensors. Sensors are efficient to detect the environment in which you are carrying the phone. If you are carrying the phone in your car, it will automatically switch to a driving mode.  Acid powered authentication pill present in the core of the wearer lets an 18-bit digital signal conveyed to your mobile device.

The Motorola X Phone is also being considered more durable. One of the most beneficial features is its durable hardware. Alike old models of Motorola, the Motorola X Phone also possesses dust-proof, waterproof, scratch-proof and shock-proof coatings.  Reports also reveal that Moto X will feature 4000 mAh battery to keep the phone active throughout the day without having to charge it multiple times.

There are contrasting rumors regarding the price of this flagship. However, Woodside hinted towards $600 to be the price tag of this Moto beast. Woodside also claimed that Moto is set to organize things differently with ‘low price and high quality devices’. The device is also being rumored to possess 10 MP camera, 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, Krait 400 Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core CPU.

Motorola X Phone Set For Year End Release – Specs and Features not yet know

June 4, 2013 By Nicholas Anderton Leave a Comment

Moto X Phone is the next device to look forward to from Motorola. This would come after the Droid RAZR M, the Droid RAZR HD and Maxx HD models were released in the market recently by Motorola. These gadgets also run on the Android platform but have very minimal frills to it. Motorola would take on cloaking the Moto X phone as well and would serve as the company’s new flagship device.

The other factors which make the Moto X phone a device to discuss is that its makers intend to assemble the device in the United States and not in Asia which has emerged as the destination of choice for almost all manufacturing activity. All major companies including Apple, HP, Dell and so on get their devices assembled in Asia owning to the cheap labor on offer in these parts.

In fact, it is Texas where the manufacturing of the Moto X phone is already underway as informed by Dennis Woodside, CEO of Motorola while speaking to All Things D. While outsourcing the manufacturing of such devices to outside countries is being resorted to due to lower labor cost in the Asian region, it also involves the company’s inability to innovate as quickly as it would have otherwise wished to. By having the device manufactured in the US itself will enable Motorola to ‘innovate and iterate’ faster.

He also informed that Motorola is going to commence the project this August and are hiring 2000 employees for the same. Given these bits of information from such a reliable source, the device can be expected to be unveiled in October with the actual release happening in November or December.

Other interesting features of the device would be the Motorola custom UI running above the Android platform. It is going to have support for Qualcomm’s LTE network. The display and the camera technology would be based on the latest available in the market.

The Moto X would have to compete in the market against the likes of Galaxy S4 from Samsung, the HTC One and also the LG Nexus 4 from Google itself. There would also be the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 vying for the market share alongside the Moto X.
