Google Nexus 5 or Android Key Lime 5.0 to Feature weather-assisted Camera app

By Leave a Comment

Have you ever thought of having a smartphone that traces your location and chooses the best possible settings based on the conditions that are prevalent around you? Hope no, But this thing could become true in the near future. Rumors has it that, Google is working on an app that would make use of the device’s GPS and analyse the local weather to automatically adjust the light intensity level, brightness, white balance and other settings to help you get the perfect shot every time.

This app could come loaded with the Google’s next smartphone, Google Nexus 5 or be a part of the next version of the Google Android operating system, Key Lime pie. The rumor has its roots from the patent filed by Google, where it states that a system would make use of the on-board GPS and the weather conditions downloaded from the internet, to make suitable changes to the various sensors available on the camera.

This new system will be of great help for the amateur photographers. A clear example for this app, Just think that you are on the foot of the Mount Everest. Now, your smartphone’s GPS traces your location and gets the weather report from the net. This way, it could help you get perfect photographs, even if there is a snowfall or scorching sun.

The question that would have strike your mind by now is that will there be any time-delay during the initialization of these settings. However we are unclear of the answer to the question. But lets keep our fingers crossed and wait for the Google I/O conference which is to happen next month, where the official announcement for both Google Nexus 5 and Key Lime Pie is expected. By now, the competitors would have started to work on a new camera tech.

Google Nexus 5 Release Date To Compete With Galaxy S4, HTC One (M7)

By 3 Comments

All equipped with a powerful camera backed with the brand name of Nikon, Google is all set to introduce a smartphone in succession to the LG Nexus 4. Yes we might seen witness the release date of Google Nexus 5 powered by LG. Officials from Google have given hints to the media that the company is now focused on improving the imaging of the Android smartphone that it is planning to release soon.

1080p mobile devices are already taking over the smartphone market. This is why the companies manufacturing smartphones are focusing on making their products relevant to the future. Nokia and HTC are already making strong endeavours in this aspect by introducing camera sensors with Ultrapixel from HTC and PureView technologies from Nokia. This step is aimed at winning the hearts of the camera enthusiasts due to which they are focusing on pixel size and density.

The Ultrapixel technology from HTC was earlier said to use triple imaging sensors which capture the images in different colors in an independent manner and of the same resolution. Then it merges them into a single image that is very good in clarity and is almost interpolation free. On the other hand Google is partnering with Nikon and introducing triple sensor array in its future hardware including the LG Nexus 4.

Recently, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has also been introduced and soon it will be released in the market. But it is for sure that Google has decided to compete directly with Samsung’s flagship phone Galaxy S4 in terms of specification.

Not much information is available about this smartphone except that will not be related to the X-phone from Motorola and at the same time it will have a Snapdragon 600 ticker along with 2GB of RAM. The display is a full high definition measuring 5 inches. The panel type of the display is not yet known and this phone will have either 8 or 16 GB of storage.

The most interesting feature of the Nexus 5 is that it will have a 3140 nAh battery, which is quite good because the displays on smartphones are becoming larger requiring more power. All the great features of a smartphone become useless if the battery lasts for only 4 – 6 hours of screen time.

Nexus 5 Not in the Hands of LG

By Leave a Comment

This may not come as a surprise after the fiasco Google and LG had, while dealing with the sales of the Google Nexus 4 through the Google Play Store, that LG has denied any involvement with the production of the next Nexus phone.

The Nexus 5 smart phone is likely to be launched before the end of 2013, along with its cousins from the phablet and tablet line.A spokesperson from LG had a discussion with the Korean site Chosun Biz regarding the matter. He stated that the rumors surrounding the involvement of LG with the production of the Google Nexus 5 are not true and such claims have no real source.

Google has always shuffled with the phone manufacturers for their Nexus products, with a different manufacturer every year for the Nexus phone. In this manner,Google has gone with HTC,Samsung and LG;with the exception of Samsung producing two Nexus phones – the Google Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus.

The spokesperson from LG also defending the company affirms the problem Google had while dealing with their demand of Nexus 4 was not at all LG’s fault. LG had been fully co-operative with Google and provided Google as many units as it had ordered. This could be somewhat true since it could have been

Google’s fault of promoting a false number of the total devices available, thus making it impossible for LG to keep the demand supply ratio balanced. The Nexus 5 is reported to have a quad core processor with a super HD display of 1080p.The tablet from the Nexus line will be called Google Nexus 7.7 and will have a Tegra 4 quad core processor along with 2 GB of RAM.Judging from its name, the tablet will probably have a 7.7inch screen.
