By Leave a Comment

If you have selectedAT&T as your carrier, it is time for picking the best phone that can meet your requirements. While iPhone 5 has become almost a universal choice, fortunately, AT&T has a superfluity of choices if you are looking for an alternative.
With many options and many unique capabilities, it may be tough for you to make the decision. With 2-year contracts, you can get many delightful phones. Here is the list of some of the best models available on AT&T network.

Apple iPhone 5

The new iPhone 5 entirely redefines the iPhone when it comes to design framework as well as features. It also addresses many shortcomings of iPhone 4S.
It is absolutely the best iPhone to date and easily secures a place in the list of best smartphones. The price starts at USD 149.99 and goes till $725.00, but this may not be the best time to buy an iPhone 5, because the next instalment is due, just a few months down the line. We’re not sure if it’d be iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, but it’d certainly be worth the wait.

LG Optimus G

With the speedy innards, stunning screen, and LTE data speeds, the new LG Optimus G can be considered as one of the best LG handsets produced to date. But,that doesn’t justify its poor camera and weak battery. The new LG Optimus G is powered by Android 4.0.4 ICS. People in the current generation desire to have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or the latest 4.2 version on their device, so they may not be too happy about that. Of course, you can download a firmware upgrade and move to Jelly Bean 4.2.
On the positive side, it has got lightning fast quad core processor with gorgeous display. Price of the new Optimus G modelstarts from $59.99, and goes up to $589.99 for the unlocked version.

Nokia Lumia 920

The newLumia 920 is thick and heavy, but if you are opting for the feature-rich and powerful Windows phone, then this has to be your choice, because there’s simply nothing better in the current markets.
The new 920 comes with a highly sensitive screen that fills the gap with many missing features. The new 920 is grounded with wireless charging. Price ranges from USD49.99 to USD 449.99.

On the flip side, it has got slippery finish for few colors and it makes it difficult to hold the phone. The overhyped camera in the phone doesn’t have enough number of settings.
All the aforementioned 5 phones make great choices, if you’re planning to choose AT&T, and buy a new phone.

Nokia Lumia 920 On Verizon, Nokia Lumia 928 Looks To Be Its Next Descendant

By Leave a Comment

There are rumors of new Lumia smartphone appearing on Verizon Wireless’ store shelves. And this is supposed to be the most awaited descendant to the current Lumia 920. The highly rumored device Lumia 928 has been creating a buzz for quite some time now.

The display of Lumia 928 still looks familiar with 1,280 by 768 pixel resolution. And this could be quite disappointing considering the fact that Nokia’s competitors such as Sony and HTC, have introduced smartphones with 1080p displays. Perhaps one of the reasons why Lumia 928 carries a panel with such resolution is that Windows Phone 8 display panels up to 1,280 by 768 pixels.
lumia 920
According to rumors, Lumia 928 may actually be the ‘Laser’ smartphone everyone is a buzz with. You might find same PureView imaging technology that is present in PureView 808.

Lumia 928 surfaces on Verizon’s database some where in January this year. Although an official launch date is still to be announced. One can expect other smartphone manufacturers introducing high-end smartphones in the nest future. We might see Lumia 928 making an appearance sooner than we think.

Thus it is clear that Verizon is adding one more variant to its Nokia Lumia stable. Verizon Wireless will soon start selling Nokia Lumia 920 version that is an AT&T exclusive in the US. However, there is till very little evidence as to what to expect to the carrier’s Windows Phone line.

There are suggestions that this is going to be very much like the Big Red’s supposed variation of the Lumia 920. Verizon would certainly want some kind of upgrading and if the 928 is factual, we’re left speculating whether or not it will arrive soon enough.

The arrival of the new variant would mean what it would have 4 Windows Phone 8-based smartphones for sale, as against three from T-Mobile and 3 for AT&T. Mobile plans to add Nokia Lumia 521 later this year.

Nokia Lumia 920 Planning To Exit Flagship, To offer PureView Camera on AT&T’s Group

By Leave a Comment

The Finland-based phone maker is on the threshold of leaving the Flagship. It is making all efforts to turn around a slide, bringing three flagship phones on each carrier. This is going to follow a very aggressive path and currently Nokia plans to do this only in US. This will introduce three flagship phones with special names and different features one every carrier.

Nokia plans to offer a genuine PureView camera on AT&T’s group. The 41-megapixel PureView camera, is codenamed “EOS,” and carriers Lumia name on board. AT&T is the top choice in carrier for Nokia in US. Currently, you will find Nokia Lumia 920 only with AT&T is the sole carrier.
lumia 920
Verizon Wireless is reported to have its very own flagship Nokia device soon. Nokia hasn’t announced any high-end device for Verizon and the project is codenames “Laser: but it is expected to have some high end features similar to Lumia 920.
Get Nokia handset for Microsoft’s mobile operating system from T-Mobile, with special flagship with codename “catwalk”. The device is expected to replace polycarbonate and boasts of a complete aluminum body, which is very unlike any other Nokia phones with Windows Phone.

Folks, now get ready for three major rival networks in United States with 3 different flagship phones. It would be interesting to see if the three phones are able to outsell Nokia Lumia 920, there is plenty of competition in the market already with upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 as well as new HTC One and new Sony Xperia Z.

According to Nokia, it has the most innovative smartphones in the world. Hope its rivals like Huawei, Samsung and HTC do not get provoked by such statements.
Meanwhile, Lumia 920 is still looked upon as the hero device of Nokia boasting of high-end technology and some advanced features.

Nokia Lumia 920 Release Date – Set to Arrive on Verizon after AT&T

By Leave a Comment

Nokia’s flagship smartphone the Lumia 920 is at the moment a bit of an exclusive beast in the United States. The handsome handset is only available through AT&T Mobile, but that exclusivity is set to come to an end as Verizon is set to start offering the Lumia 920, and has already had its own variant approved by the FCC. However, what Nokia Lumia 920 will we be seeing through Verizon?

lumia 920

Of course getting Nokia’s flagship is a good move. Windows may be third in the mobile operating stakes behind iOS and Android but it still holds its own, and Nokia’s Lumia 920 is the best Windows Phone out there and has been something of a minor hit. The FCC has passed a Nokia device with the identification number RM-860, and this has led to online rumours suggesting that Verizon is in fact launching a new Nokia and not the Lumia 920 at all.

These rumours surround a Nokia phone that has for now been codenamed “Laser”, but the FCC filing offers enough specification details to say that the phone coming to Verizon is indeed the Lumia 920. That means either the codename Laser was reserved for the Verizon model of the Lumia 920, of the Laser is another device that we will see at some stage in the future.

We have also reached out to Nokia (albeit the UK division) and asked if we can expect a major phone release and the answer was a firm no. So we are not getting a ground-breaking Windows Phone from Nokia on Verizon but we are at least getting a Lumia 920 variant, which is good news either way.

So what about the Laser? Well, reports are saying that Microsoft is planning to spend big on marketing the Laser for it Windows Phone OS, so we would expect a big press event and reveal when Nokia does decide to launch the device.

Apple’s iPhone 5 being pushed by Sales of Nokia Lumia 920 and Samsung Galaxy S3 & Note2

By Leave a Comment

After months of speculations, Apple finally introduced iPhone 5 in the market.
However, its competitors took no time to enter the race. Samsung’s Galaxy S3 and
Lumia 920 are technologically advanced for their respective operating systems
— Google Android and Windows Phone 8. Although a more comprehensive
comparison is yet to be done on these phones.

5i

The early responses reveal that Apple iPhone 5 hasn’t done enough to impress
the consumers. However, the iPhone might yet be the best seller at AT&T.
Samsung’s Galaxy S 3 did overtake the iPhone at Verizon and Sprint, it was not
able to overcome AT&T’s mountain.

However, the current months seem to be doing great for Samsung Galaxy S III,
and there seems to be no slowing down ever since it made its debut last summer.
Ever since it launch, the phone has held on to the No. 2 spot at AT&T. The spec
battle rages on between the three phones, is making it difficult for the consumer
to decide as to which phone to take home. These are some of the most powerful
smartphones that are pitted against each other.

920

Nokia Lumia 920 is a flagship phone from Nokia and runs on Windows Phone 8.
Boasting of a 4.5-inch display and 720p resolution, the 8-megapixel camera and
the dual-core processor, it is no wonder to see the phone being lapped up by its
fans. The high-flying S3

Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE carries a 4.8-inch display and 4G capability and has
Android 4.1 on board. One quad-core processor powers everything. Apple iPhone
needs no introduction, and this s the 6th iPhone from Apple. The phone runs on
iOS 6, and displays an eye-watering speed. The phone has a 4-inch retina display
and latest version of app-filled operating system.

s3

The last couple of months have shown a strong month for these smartphones,
in spite of the holiday season. The intrigue remains as to which of these phones
would make a run at Apple’s iPhone. Will Samsung dominate its Android
competitors or devices like Nokia Lumia 920 will topple the supremacy of Apple’s
iPhone? Let us wait and watch.
