BlizzCon is full of surprises and World of Warcraft and Starcraft are right in the spotlight. There have been great expectations from both games, especially World of Warcraft, and now it seems that Blizzard have finally made their move. There has been some great news about both games, sprinkled with a little bit of disappointment as well. But what is important is that we are going to have a great year in 2016.
World of Warcraft got a new official trailer for its newest expansion called Legion and it is surely something that got fans up in the air. The trailer features a classic father to son monologue in which Valyrian Wrynn tells his son, Anduin, that his life has been full of events and that he realizes that peace is the most noble accomplishment humanity can ever obtain.
The monologue is the background story that you can hear while the cinematic features Valyrian and Sylvanas Windrunner fighting off loegions of demons on flying ships. After Valyrian’s ship plunges into water, the current leader of the Alliance seems to have met his demise, but quickly opens his eyes and move towards to shores of the Broken Isles to continue his fight along Sylvanas.
These two characters’ appearance in the trailer might be some sort of spoiler that either one of them, or even both of them, will meet their end in Legion. Fans have been speculating about the fact that one of these characters is going die in the following expansion, with stronger beliefs that Valyrian is going to be this character. Sylvanas, being an undead, still has the opportunity to come back and continue the fight.
As for Starcraft, we will be getting some extra RTS missions in the spring of 2016. These missions will focus on Nova, so that the players will be able to get in touch with this character since not much has been said about her in Starcraft franchise. These missions will also include some extra goodies like unlocking new units, weaponry, upgrades and gear slots.
And to accentuate on the fact that BlizzCon is full of surprises, we also got an update on Overwatch’s release date: spring 2016. Three new heroes are coming out in this exciting new shooter and there are a lot of people waiting for it since it has great gameplay and fluent optimization.
