There are many music streaming apps available on the market right now. One might say too many. We have the popular Spotify, Beats Music, Pandora and the legendary iTunes Radio. It seems that there’s always room for one more. Samsung Milk Music Stream Radio app doesn’t come with a groundbreaking approach to music streaming but it does have some rather interesting interface offerings. The music found on Milk Music is comes from Slacker Radio featuring over 13 million songs from 200 radio stations.
The interface looks fast and flexible, with a jog-wheel kind of control style. It has an outer wheel for shuttling between plenty of radio stations and an inside wheel for turning to a specified station. There is a song catalog divided into 15 general music genres, from jazz to rock to dance music, with nine of these genres being displayed on the jogwheel anytime you want.
With Samsung Milk Music stream radio you can customize your own radio station based on a specific song or artist and it lets you skip songs that you don’t want to hear. You can skip six songs per station, every hour. You have onscreen indications showing you how many skips you have left.
Samsung Milk Music Stream Radio new interface
Milk Music is great for scanning quickly between genres and music stations. The music plays instantly and you can access hundreds of stations in little time, although what you will hear on Milk Music is not very different from what you would hear on SiriusXM or Pandora but the great advantage is that Milk Music is a free service. Samsung Milk Music Stream Radio doesn’t play ads, just some occasional promotional spots from Slacker. Another great thing about it is that you’re not required to create an account or to log in. you download it and you start playing the music. Only if the songs have explicit lyrics, then you must create a Samsung account.
Samsung Milk Music Stream Radio is available in Google Play store and it works on Samsung Galaxy S4, the S3, the S4 mini, the Galaxy Note 2, Note 3, Galaxy Mega and the new Galaxy S5.
