The new selfie app makes photo editing easier.
Taking selfies couldn’t get easier with Microsoft’s newest application, specifically designed to enhance the overall quality of your self-portraits. It would seem that the tech giant wants to aim even higher because Microsoft launches Selfie app for iOs.
As one would might thinks, this move is not uncommon for Microsoft. Earlier this year, the tech giant managed to release Cortana for Android users. It may not be as pretty or powerful as the Cortana we know from Windows phone, but at least, it gets the job done. And no, I do not think that the Cortana app for Android can ever become powerful enough in order to rival with Siri.
Getting back to our selfies app, Microsoft has again managed to baffle its fans, when the tech giant announced that they will soon deliver the selfies application to iOS platforms.
In terms of performance, it would seem that the application has what it needs in order to fulfill all of your selfies-related needs.
The application’s main feature is to automatically enhance the overall quality of your self-portraits by tinkering with several functions such as light settings, skin tone and not to mention with the color palette.
Taking selfies can be considered one of the life’s simple pleasures. And Microsoft wants to keep it this way. These being said, Microsoft slapped the new application with a simple interface, one that can be understood by anyone.
So how does this application work? Upon taking a picture using either the front or the rear camera, the application takes certain variables into account such as your age, skin tone, outside lighting and modifies the picture accordingly.
According to Microsoft, the user is capable of editing the picture on the spot, meaning that you won’t have to open an outside photo editor in order to tinker with your selfies. Moreover, the app can be used in order to modify picture located in your phone’s internal storage.
And if the picture seems to poor, you can always use the 13 additional photo filters provided by the application.
There is only one downside to this application. Apart from other application that lets you share your selfies via social media, Microsoft’s Selfie application won’t let you share your edited selfies.
If you are still interested in downloading the application, then head on over to iOS’s online store and download the Microsoft Selfie application. The only things you’ll ever need are 56.9 MB of free space and a phone compatible with iOS 8.0. No word as to when Microsoft is planning on releasing a version for Android.
