It seems that lately everyone is talking about the selfie. And that’s kind of strange since the selfies have been around ever since social media appeared. It could be that this is the golden age of selfies and companies take advantage of it as best as they can, creating all kinds of selfie inspired gadgets. We’ve talked in a previous post about the Facefeed app that simplifies the whole process of selfies.
The latest selfie-inspired device is the new camera called Samsung NX mini Smart, a small camera that could very well fit into your pocket for the quickest selfie experience. It seems that the new Samsung camera is the slimmest and lightest camera in the world which features interchangeable lens.
The Samsung NX mini Smart camera measures 110.4×61.9×22.5 mm. At this size, the camera is even narrower and shorter that the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone. Samsung says that they made a camera this small so that it takes as little space as possible and be taken anywhere we go.
The Samsung NX mini Smart camera has an aluminum and magnesium frame and a faux leather that wraps to camera body which offers it a good grip. It looks like a clash between retro and futuristic.
Samsung wants to position their new camera as a sort of companion for the smartphone. When you change the lenses and attach different ones, the camera takes better pictures than any smartphone available could ever do. The standard Samsung NX mini Smart camera lens has a fixed focal length and a 3 inch color touchscreen that tilts up and can be used for taking selfies.
