March 21, 2014 By Lori David Leave a Comment

optinvent ora wearable gadgets There were a lot of wearable devices presented at the 2014 London Wearable tech show that stood out from the crowd, from smartwatches to smart jackets. Out of hundreds of gizmos that were revealed at the show we want to present you our top 3 of new wearable gadgets.

Reemo

Reemo is a gesture band that works like a computer mouse which allows the user to interact with everything around him , from lights to alarm clocks, to TV and it can also be used as an actual desktop mouse. Muhammad Abdurraham, CEO of Playtabase describes Reemo as a combination between a remote control and a mouse. It was initially designed to help ease his father’s life after suffering a series of strokes. The Reemo bracelet works with point gestures and it’s designed to be able to make the distinction between the objects you’re pointing at, even though the objects are very close to one another which makes it one of the most interesting new wearable gadgets this year.

Reemo will cost around $125 and will be available starting with May this year.

Optinvent Ora

This was one of the coolest new wearable gadgets presented in London and it aims to be an alternative to the recent smart glasses from Google and Vuzix. Optinvent Ora is an augmented reality pair of glasses that has a see-through screen in front of your eyes. It was built on Android smartpones and it has a bigger screen than Google Glass, three times bigger actually. You can mount the Optinvent Ora glass screen directly in front of your sight or you can flip it down below.

The Optinvent glasses will cost €700 and it should be launched on the market in 2015.

SnapWatch

SnapWatch was first theorized as a concept back in 1999 and was later patented in 2005 and it looks like a snap bracelet from the 90’s. SnapWatch is actually a combination between a steel snapband and a flexible electronic display. It comes with a bi-stable electrochromic display that was developed by Acreo, a Swedish supplier. On their website, SnapWatch is meant to be a watch that plays and replays music and also displays messages. We’re sure SnapWatch will be one of the coolest new wearable gadgets once it will appear on the market.
