Several Nexus handset users have reported that they cannot access the DND application on Android 6.0.1.
We all know how hard it is to get up in the morning, especially if you are a night owl. In order to sort off this problem, Android 5.0 came in with a nifty application that would allow to set multiple alarms and snoozes. The Do not Disturb app is not available for Android 6.0.1.
The application was the first introduced to Android 5.1 compatible handsets. Its primary function was to operate several alarm instances, thus granting the user the possibility to pause between several alarms.
According to officials from Android, the application was demoted, due to the fact that it had several critical bugs. But Google assured us that a newer and improved version of the application will be made available for Android 6.0.1.
It would seem that the newest version has come, but the Do not Disturb application is nowhere in sight. In fact, several Nexus handset owner reported that they could not find any traces of the application.
This issue seems to pose quite a lot of questions since the Nexus handsets received a series of patches not so long ago. As expected, Google has announced that a team of technicians will look into this matter and will do their best in order to fix the issues.
Now on to other facts about the application. Think back to when you created certain memos in your phone regarding some important meeting or scribbled down a couple of things during your last briefing.
Some of us would totally forget what memos we have active in the phone. And what it happens is that the phone will start ringing violently in the dead of night, making us throw our phone in the garbage bin.
But with the new application, now you won’t have to worry about these type of accidents. Simply fire up the application and rest easily. The Do Not Disturb app comes with a Night Mode feature, meaning that you won’t have to tweak those volume buttons before going to bed.
The application itself has multiple features and can be used in any number of situations. As stated at the beginning of the article, the Do Not Disturb application comes with a pretty nifty feature which allows you to set any number of alarms. Also, the application lets the user specify how many snoozes should go off between alarms.
Alas, we are talking about ancient history here, because until Google manages to find a way around this obstacle, we have no other choice but to stick to the phone’s alarm system.
