Sony has already forwarded invitations for a grand event to be organized in Germany on June 25. It is possible that the Japanese tech will launch the much anticipated Xperia  ZU  in this event. Sources say, Sony Xperia ZU will pack quad-core 2.3 GHz processor and operate on Android Jelly Bean v.4.2.2. Sony Xperia ZU will be the foremost phablet to bear the integral code tag of Togari.

However, Sony has planned to utilize an 8MP sensor instead of a 13MP one, due to lack of supplies. The phablet will use micro-SIM and support both 3G and 2G network. A newer variant of the Bravia HD multitouch display screen will accompany the water-repellent 6.4-inch screen of Sony Xperia ZU. This phablet will bear extendable external microUSD card slot up to 32GB/64GB alongside 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.

A powerful 3000 mAh battery will power the Sony Xperia ZU. 1P58 rating for water and dust repellence makes the smartphone ideal for those who plan to carry it to rugged environments. Sony’s upcoming phablet wraps Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2.2 MP front-facing camera and Adreno 330 GPU, along with its other specifications. Rumors also direct to the fact that Sony Xperia ZU will be a direct competitor to the much anticipated but unannounced Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The device will support Bluetooth v4.0, NFC and will be protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Its full HD display at 920×1080 pixel resolution and 342 ppi make it an adorable choice for users seeking a sharp, large and High Definition display. Rumors say that Sony Xperia ZU will permit the use of a stylus or pencil-like object.
