The Best Time To Buy A PlayStation 4

The Best Time To Buy A PlayStation 4

This is the best time to buy a PlayStation 4. It is quite difficult to give an exact reason apart from the fact that the console is priding itself on more success than it has ever had, but this success is based off a lot of minor plusses than were just added over time. The PlayStation 4 is, for the time being, the most reliable console you could ever have and if you are looking to improve your console experience, this is the time for you to do it.

The PlayStation 4 was launched 2 years ago and it really benefited from a major failure that Xbox made: the Xbox cost a whopping $500 while the PS4 cost $400. Sony caught the attention of every console gamer out there and took over the market. It is safe to say that the PS4 didn’t even make it to the shelves appropriately that they were already bought. Still, you had the newest console on the market, but not too many games to play on it.

Over time, people have started giving more and more attention to the PlayStation 4 because of minor details: some games were only PS4 exclusive (such as God of War), the console’s bugs and issues were fixed and the graphics just look a little bit better on the PS4 than they do on the Xbox One. Little by little, more PS4s were bought, giving Sony a great edge in the market.

This year, Sony announced that the PS4 price is going down to $350 and with a bunch of games coming out this month like the new Tomb Raider or Star Wars Battlefront, It is a good deal for you to actually buy a new PS4 and one of these games in a pack that will amount you up to $400 or cheaper. Have we also mentioned Destiny? Yes, Destiny is a shooter that has a population of over 25 million players. That’s way bigger than any games nowadays can pride themselves with.

So yes, this is the best time to buy a PlayStation 4, with so many action revolving around it and more and more people wanting to join it, it could very easily transform into the best experience of your life. It is also relatively easy for producers to create games for these platforms, especially because PS4 games are really easy to optimize compared to PC games. So what are you waiting for?

Shooters’ Preferences Are Shifting

Shooters’ preferences are shifting away from the PC and Xbox towards the PlayStation 4.

Shooters’ Preferences Are Shifting

Shooters’ preferences are shifting away from the PC and Xbox towards the PlayStation 4. You can enjoy your little victory with Halo, mister Xbox, but the population that is slowly, but surely, taking over the gaming world prefers the PlayStation 4. While it is true that these statements have been confirmed by Sony and they want to put their product in front, they also provide solid evidence that this is what is happening right now in terms of shooters.

PlayStation made some good deals and partnered with the shooter genre’s big names. We are talking about Black Ops 3, Destiny and even the most expected shooter of this year: Star Wars Battlefront. Having all these three names backing Sony up, not only can all the games be released for the PS4 console, but Sony can also see how many people prefer the PlayStation 4 to the other available platforms.

But there was an important step that needed to be dealt with: promotion. You’d think that games are promoted enough on the internet, but it’s not like a TVC won’t help you make more sales, right? First, Sony created special edition consoles, then it promoted them via TV. Now Sony has nothing else to do than sit back and watch as sales go up and people demand more and more games.

Lauren Bradley, the PlayStation marketing manager, has declared that “this generation, the shooter audience is tending to switch over to PS4, so we’ve got high expectations for Star Wars Battlefront around both launch and into next year”. And this is quite a normal phenomenon given the fact that it has been so long since we last saw a Star Wars movie or a very well designed Star Wars game.

Bradley emphasized on this important feeling that the generation might be experiencing now. To have something buried so deep into collective memory and then have it re-emerge is something quite special. Bradley even mentioned that there was a widely favored post on the Facebook page” “the nostalgia is strong with this one”.

One a more technical note, it is very probable that the shooters’ preferences are shifting away from the PC because of the precision given by the mouse. Shooters have become very competitive nowadays and you cannot help but feel the social pressure of “having to be good”. A controller does not offer you the same precision, so people are more focused on enjoying the game rather than trying hard to win the game.
