Meet the New 5th Generation Intel Core Chips

The industry of PCs has reached a new level.  We have at least 4 year old computers that can’t keep up with the latest technology generations, that are designed to give more, or better said, to give it all. At the hour, there are more than 600 million PCs in use, and they are older than 4 years. Intel finds new ways of getting them replaced with new systems and features that are meant to make the user enjoy life more and find equity in every tech-related situation. Intel has made a research in which all the new options that came along with the development in this field are here to offer the users totally new ways of expressing themselves through their gadgets. Karen Regis is the one who manages the company in road mapping and strategy, as far as laptops are concerned.

“If you think back to four years ago, versus today, it’s not just the processors that have gotten a lot better. The overall computer experience has changed entirely.”

A new graphics driver package has been release by Intel that promises to raise the video playback fame up to 4K. Meet the new 5th generation Intel Core chips, also called the Broadwell processors, that are the main course of the official dinner. The package will be able to work with Windows 7, Windows 8.0 and Windows 8.1. The VP9 id the type of the video format that will play all user’s videos in Google Hangouts and in Chrome.

If customers want to choose a 4K Ultra HD video playback, they will be shown a GPU-accelerated decoding mechanism for the HEVC video format. An important detail is that this version supports Open CL and Open GL. The 8-bit and 10-bit support assure the users that they can enhance their video quality and capabilities.

The Intel HD Graphics 5500, HD Graphics 6000 and Iris Graphics 6100 graphics cores are chips from Intel Broadwell and are going to be part of the grand reunion of possibilities that Intel offer. Other supported processors are: Iris, Iris Pro graphics, the Core M family, the 4th generation of core CPU with HD, etc.

Numbers say that the changes are spectacular and show a percentage of 22% when who modules are combined, a new one for example Core i7-5600U Broadwell chip going side by side with an Intel Graphics 5500 GPU, and an old one, like Haswell Core i7-4600U that is accompanied by an Intel HD Graphics 4400 GPU.

Unfortunately, specialists admit that there will be a lot of bugs in the new systems that will affect well-known games and also Skype, whose windows will close sometimes because of the error.
