All Mobile Payments Get Integrated By Verifone

January 11, 2015 By Micheal Baptiste Leave a Comment

All Mobile Payments Get Integrated By Verifone While a growing number of retailers are embracing cell phones and tablets as virtual wallets the ‘cashing in’ process can frequently be costly and time –consuming as gadgets get constantly upgraded. Top NFC terminal producer, Verifone intends to tackle this issue, announcing a new mPos terminal that works all portable payments platforms and devices.

NFC-based mobile payments have been handy for American for a few years now. Last year, Apple also caught the mobile payments tide and introduced this autumn Apple Pay, opening up the simplicity of portable payments to millions of Americans.

As mobile payments turn into a common habit and competing options start disputing the market, more and more users demand a sole terminal solution that is able to suit everybody. And Verifone took the request seriously. The company recently announced it will introduce PAYware Mobile e355.

The Payware Mobile e355 is a jack for all mobile sales terminals (mPOS), supporting both NFC used for Google Wallet and Apple Pay and EMV.

The mPos likewise underpins conventional credit cards in case buyers prefer conventional payment technology. Even more, the terminal accepts any type of smartphones regardless if they run on Android, iOS or Windows Phone. Network alternatives are ample, as the mPos works with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and flash drive connectivity. An optional feature is the barcode scanner which can register client coupons.

Verifone see the Payware Mobile e355 as an incorporated, long- term arrangement that doesn’t attach retailers to one specific platform. Significantly more impressive is the way that its mPos won’t be made outdated when new cutting edge Apple iPhones or Samsung Galaxy cell phones emerge on the market. The Payware Mobile e355 is in every practical sense future-protected.

According to Mark Shockley, SVP of Mobile Solutions for Verifone, the idea of having to buy new mPos every time a smartphone model is upgraded has been a real downer for retailers’ investments

The official bragged that Verifone’s single, modular arrangement will be a definitive mPos solution. Its design will make it adaptable to multiple gadget upgrades even if a complete shift from one OS to another takes place.

Verifone intends to launch the Payware Mobile e355 at the end of the second quarter of 2015 but the pricing has not been made public yet.  Nevertheless, Verifone is clearly targeting bigger retailers with larger wallets so it might be a while before corner restaurants get their hands on the system.
