The latest update for Dota 2 is bound to introduce a new hero. Last August, a new character named the Monkey King was presented as leading the upcoming update of Dota 2. The new feature is now available being free on Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA). The update involves much more changes than just bringing a new character to the public.
Patch 7.00 includes an updated head-up display and a brand new interface which was claimed to be completely reworked. The new Patch 7.00 presents a new hero known as Monkey King. He is a fierce character who has amazing disable and escape abilities.
His ultimate ability, Wukong’s Command, allows him to shed a tuft of fur on the battlefield, signaling that an army of monkey soldier will help him revenge. The innate power of the new hero is called mischief. This helps him change its looks to delude enemies, his surroundings being the most suitable environment which could influence his camouflage.
Valve decided to sell a themed map of the new character separately, together with different Arcana skins for the Monkey King. Another significant update is the Hero Talent tree which was previously discussed at the subreddit of Dota 2. By using this update, players can choose the levels of talent for each hero, varying between 10, 15, 20 and 25.
These skill levels are bound to add powerful reinforcement of the heroes abilities. Players will be allowed to select a talent for each hero because each character has a set of skills. The new patch also implements changes to the user interface for Dota 2. The head-up display or HUD is meant to help players obtain a better vision of the map, but also a wide range of possibilities to reveal in different ways what is happening in each game.
The hero control console for Dota 2 has also been updated, occupying a limited space, having a wide screen estate for the new Backpack slots and Hero Talent interface. The Backpack permits heroes to keep three more items as a reserve. The backpack can also be used to deposit recipes and other items as gamers want to develop a compelling end-game product.
The new changes to the interface of the game were discussed in detail by Valve on a site specially designed for Dota 2 Patch 7.00.
