The game gives you a chance to do everything virtually- mocking the Swedish furniture Goliath. The game can be played by up to four individuals simultaneously and give for you the true feeling of totally losing your nerve at a cluster of struts, screws and light stands. Höme Improvisåtion gives players for more reasons to bring up imperfections in each other’s plans and activities.
Not at all like a piece of IKEA furniture, had the game taken a group of software engineers just 48 hours to design. It was submitted to the 2015 Global Game Jam in Atlanta this January. Höme Improvisåtion is available for both Mac and Windows Pcs and can be downloaded free of charge from the team’s website. Also, the game can be played online.
Here is how the game is described by the very team that came up with the idea:
“The world’s most fun & accurate cooperative furniture assembly experience! There was a problem printing the instruction manuals so you will have to figure out how the furniture goes together. Just snap the pegs into the holes; it’s that simple! Make sure to invite some friends over and make the beautiful furniture of your dreams! Or labor alone and slowly descend into madness!”
Those who have played the game say it so nearly recreates the experience of amassing IKEA’s “ready-to-assemble” furniture that made them pledge to never play the game again.
The game has also not been very welcome by expert reviewers who claim that only persons really keen on solving puzzles would be attract to it, since nobody really wants to reenact the nightmare of putting together Ikea items.
Ikea makes some flawless reasonably- priced furniture, but those items aren’t precisely popular for their simple assembling process. If you feel like experiencing the challenge of piecing together IKEA furniture without having to purchase real furniture, then Höme Improvisåtion is your game.
