Vivo announced the release of the world’s thinnest smartphone, called Vivo x5 Max. The news was leaked out before Vivo made any official announcements but now that it’s out, let’s take a look at what may be the world’s thinnest smartphone.
Vivo is a smarpthone manufacturer based in China and its latest phone is Vivo X5 Max, which surprises with its thinness. The smartphone is called “the thinnest in the world” because it is. It’s 4.75mm thin, although some rumors said the X5 Max was even thinner than that. But it’s not. At 4.75 mm, it’s definitely the thinnest phone available on the market at the moment. That’s right, Vivo X5 Max even dethroned Oppo R5, which is 4.85 mm thin.
Vivo X5 Max – specifications
Apart from being the world’s thinnest smartphone, Vivo X5 Max has other specifications worth mentioning. The X5 Max has a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display of 1080p, 1920×1080. Vivo X5 Max features 2GB of RAM for any multitasking needs and 16GB of storage. This can be extended to up to 128GB because the Vivo X5 Max has a microSD slot card for adding extra storage.
The X5 Max is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon processor of 615 SoC and a 64bit octa core proc. The octacore is 1.7 GHZ and it comes with an Adreno 405 GPU and it’s designed especially for processing graphics.
Camera-wise, the Vivo X5 Max is equipped with a very good back camera of 13 MP (a Sony IMX 214 sensor and a F2.0 aperture) and a front cam of 5MP with a F2.4 aperture. The smartphone has a 2000mAh battery and a pre-installed Android 4.4, and it also has the Vivo FunTouch 2.0 UI.
Vivo X5 Max measures 153.90x78x4.75mm and it sports a dual 4G LTE connectivity. A while ago, Vevo teased that the new Vivo X5 Max will feature some sort of Hi-Fi audio. It looks like Vevo has just made the world’s thinnest box speakers of only 2.45 mm thick. The new Vevo smartphone also comes with a Yamahayss-205 X chip that is built in the phone. This makes it the first Android phone with a real-time vocal reverb sound.
